1st Person Technology

People are thinking and wondering a great deal about how they are going to interact with the future. And it is a good thing to wonder and think about... because some people are already living in it.

You know that the time for change has arrived when you can walk into an Elementary school and be introduced by the Principal to all of its students so that the first message you can deliver is this:

kidOYO is about kids owning your own education. We do that by teaching you to code and make things with technology. But before we do, we need you to think about whether you are a customer or maker of your own education. If you wake up everyday so that you can come to class and receive what your teacher is giving you, and thats it... you are coming to consume education. But if you realize how much hard work your teachers put into preparing your education, and you come to class to receive that effort so that you can make something unique and personally valuable with it... then you are a maker of your own education. kidOYO is looking for the students that want to be makers of their own education. We use tools like Minecraft, programming languages like Scratch, or html so we can create the web. We work with 3D printers and micro-circuits, and we bring redstone into the real world and make things we can hold in our hands and play with in our virtual worlds. Makers do that, not consumers. You choose what you are.
Guess how many kids want to be makers...

What does the future look like?

Allow me to show you some interesting views, and remember, the future is already here... it is a first person experience, it is very important that you possess both offensive and defensive capabilities in this world, and it is critical that you know how to administer yourself as data. Everything is made of and producing data all the time... and if you do not administer yourself, then you are absolutely destined to be administered as a data-slave. Don't let that happen to yourself. In this life, you are the Sovereign source authority of your own participation in Society. Own Yourself.

While designed for motorcycle use, I imagine that this is capable of serving equally well in other strategic pursuits where hard shells providing cranium protection are advantageous, or where surveillance is adversely present and anonymity is preferable to Individual motivations.

Want more?

And more, much more...
