Local ONLY

Networks... local nodes... dynamic and static IP... tax map ID... treasure trove of data...

People... treasure troves of data... tax ID... tax ID... tax ID... citizen ID... DNA...

Markets... owned... rented... leveraged... system... black... digital... transaction... reputation... cooperative... competitive... social... education... health... distributed...

What is the hardest, most challenging, most valuable asset to connect in networks, people, and markets? Its referred to as the last mile. Its the distance between mass-access and every Individual. Its the distance between people in network structure in the real world. Every mass-communication, mass-transit system builds its infrastructure in order to serve the largest mass of people possible. In business you bring everyone to the table to get results. In politics, you raise big tents for all people.

The Right to be left alone, to privacy among connected peers, to autonomy within a social ecosystem, to self reliance as a means of day-to-day sustenance... these are human Rights... and the ambition of mankind must maintain its respect for basic human Rights in order for optimal operational predictability to be achieved. Disrespecting human Rights is not going to go well because of a simple fact:

Life is local ONLY.

The connected world is having a local experience 100% of the time.

This explains why "Terrorism" or the "Forever War" on mankind must be understood to be solved... because it is always going to be able to achieve connected world effects at the scale of local experience. That is immensely important to understand... totalitarian control will never achieve 100% success, and in fact will entice the creation of the impetus that drives the "Forever War".

If the world is going to create connected infrastructure that works for the distributed good, it is going to have to obey local ONLY structural rules. Every person in the world is going to have to be valued equally at ID origin. People must be the source of their own participation... for it will be people who bare the cost of failure, and it should be the people who record the success of opportunity directly. People must stand accountable for their own participation, and participation in the global/universal system should come as a choice that affords leverage and benefits at the cost of choosing to participate. That is the basis of civil Society.

Our origin as participating people is a local ONLY experience. It literally happens ((optimally)) in the most private of spaces where men and women create human life from one generation to the next. This is our hallowed ground. If a hostile alien species trying to eat our young were to arrive on this planet, all of our energies and structural concerns would turn to protecting this most vital asset of our species... our needs would be clear as day... our Governments would give special regard to our most important National interests with DEFCON 1 attention. People would be protected as assets-in-development until an adequate age of personal accountability when the gifted secrets of human survival and prosperity would be shared and stood up personally. War with aliens may require this age to come sooner, but 18 years of age seems logical as a starting consideration in our world today.

People, protected as assets, under their own local control, for the benefit of local interactions amidst a global infrastructure of connectivity that accords participation with unlimited opportunity. This is the ideal and optimal structure for a networked species.

Will we achieve?

Can we achieve?

Do we even need permission to achieve?

Freedom dictates that it is the responsibility of mankind to pursue that which is best for its survival and prosperity. This is all that is required to justify space exploration. Conversely, this is also all that is required to justify the domination of the world by any civilization in time, using both hostile and nimble modes of domination and expansion of interests.

Our local ideas create all of the possibilities that are discoverable on this planet. Even when we are connecting using infrastructure that enables virtual time and location shifting, we are each having a local ONLY experience. Our sharing is processed at our edges.

This design constraint must define our system, and participatory identity must bare a structural intent placing integrity, resilience and opportunity within personal touch. You are humanity... our greatest freedom fighter and our greatest security officer joined as one.

Self-Sovereign identity origination is a human Right, and a species-wide prerogative.

Now its up to human Individuals to make it so for themselves.

Theory: People Make Slaves of Themselves Far Too Easily.
