Nationally? Regionally? Locally? As Families? One Individual at a time?
Nope. That question makes no sense at all. Not today in this Universe.
Societies do not give themselves "Sovereignty" in this world.
Societies do not give themselves "Sovereignty" in this world.
Sovereignty is "Declared Upon You" by administrative processes.
Wherever you come from, Reader, you can analyze your own Sovereign design.
Here, in America, I will analyze mine.
Here, Sovereignty was taken care of a long time ago. Well, maybe not as long ago as some Sovereign designs... but long enough that it had nothing to do with me. Way longer than any of the men who designed it had the ability to imagine in any specific or accurate detail. 240 years ago, the only thing those men had the ability to know was that they were personally Sovereign, and there was a King with a different model of Sovereignty that needed a swift kick in the... rudder. Voila!
Now, the internet makes an appearance.
Now, what would John Hancock do with an internet? What would an internet do to Thomas Jefferson's ideas? What would John Adams think about the impact the internet makes on our Sovereign design? How would Benjamin Franklin use the internet?
Ladies? Have any ideas? Want to chime in?
Any African or Asian or Hispanic folks want to share a word?
When we put a decentralized routing matrix beside a centralized routing matrix and start to talk about the distribution of resources across local. regional, national, global and interstellar space... I wonder what all of these people would think about how each of us should have access to and participate within such a system?
I wonder whether freedom or security would be the priority? I wonder about the design of Sovereignty that these good folks would consider important, and I wonder the reasons they would pursue their choices..?
Most importantly, I wonder if peace and progress would be possible when the internet was a tool useful to these people? I wonder what the King of England would think about the internet and his kingdom? I wonder how the King would use the internet to exercise his Sovereign design in the Universe?
I have many ideas on the subject, no answers. These are fruitless questions after all. We all know a live dog is more powerful than a dead lion.
Today, we are using the internet to enforce an old model of Sovereignty in the world. The model of Sovereignty that we are deploying is called "Administrative Sovereignty" and is defined by the manner that Individual people cede the value of their personal data to the "Administrative System" that manages their Sovereign Rights and integrity. These Rights are administered using a primary key called an "Identity" or a "Legal Name", and access to the social benefits of "Citizenship" is the outcome and purpose of our "Administered" Sovereign design.
Here and Now in America, the model of our Sovereignty as data-subjects under legal management is akin to a file in a file cabinet... or a can of beans on a store shelf... an inmate under secure lock down... or an asset under lock and key. This intentional design enables a secure model of deploying resources to a population seeking freedom of access to those leveraged resource opportunities. Under a system of legal control and authority, Individual data subjects called citizens cede their personal Sovereign data in order to secure and empower an administrative model of National Sovereignty. This model pre-dates the internet, and has provided very effective service for 238 years.
Enter the internet. Every idea you have about personal Sovereignty is up for debate. Access and apportionment of Rights come from what origin in America according to our founding documents? How do we "Administer" that Declaration with the internet? What is a Town Hall on the internet? Where do "Vital Records" get stored with the internet? What model of Sovereignty is optimized by the internet? What changes to our "Administrative System" are already happening because of the mere existence of the internet?
Enter personal Sovereignty. In America, who guarantees our Sovereign design?
Are "they" on the internet?
What is "their" data structure?
Show me your data structure and I will show you the Sovereign design of your Society.
America, the internet just exposed an "Administrative" problem with the design of our Sovereignty as a function of our data model. While we have been securing our National Sovereignty using administrative processes controlled by geo-political mechanisms, we have also been "settling" for a one-off relationship with our Sovereign intent... for the simple reason that we lacked the administrative tools to maintain a personally Sovereign relationship.
Now we have the internet. The internet is a tool. The internet enables something new...
The internet is a fundamental shift in the way Sovereignty is produced and managed...
ie "administered".
Personal Sovereignty; what does it mean to you?
Welcome to a baby frontier... each of us are the internet baby!
Why settle for less than a personal relationship with Society?
