United Individuals of America

The "Founding Fathers of America" had a few things in common... but none are more important for our modern world than the common origin of authority which they all shared and Agreed to leverage in breathing life into the institution known today as the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

In a world dominated by geography, distributing power among both National and State governing bodies was a very prescient notion, and remains to this day a safeguard of the Rights administered upon the citizens of America. Under the constraints of geography, socio-economic Rights in any Society create managerial context that are relational to the geographies where socio-economic empowerment is discovered and practiced. Cities form in an effort to aggregate the opportunity costs and privileges that form from the co-habitation of many people in a specific local geography where each of those people requires resources for survival and prosperity.

This operational system works well, amazingly so even. With a few exceptions, local management is an ideal parameter for the flow of power and authority in any Nationalized Society comprised of many distinct local geographies. We can point to towns, cities and nations all over the world and give thanks to the contributions of many outstanding examples of Human culture thriving under this functional model. Obviously not all examples thrive however... and likely, while we may aspire to improve those examples of failure that happen often repetitively from time to time, it is part of the Human condition that such failures will exist. Thus the impetus for both education and police, bread and guns, freedom and security.

Enter the Internet.

What we have today is a new founding infrastructure for Society... "founding" because, as we are observing and experiencing, no one really knew it was coming, and even those that built it had no idea what kind or scale of effect it would introduce. It is quite literally a "jumping together" of ideas and engineered outcomes which improve the capabilities of any information processing entity to better process information.

If the "Founding Fathers" of America came into existence with a tool such as the Internet, how would such an information processing infrastructure affect the distribution of authority within Society? How would a National and State allocation of governing authority be configured when the infrastructure directly enables Individuals to self-represent their interests and voices within the administrative system managing Society? What configuration protocol would establish the primary key used in determining access under Constitutional authority to the Rights, responsibilities and opportunities, accorded to American citizens?

The United States of America were born on July 4th, 1776. Nearly 200 years later, the Internet was given life by the United States of America. Today, in the year 2014, the United States of America, as well as the rest of the networked world, are dealing with the ramifications of these two related, but distinctly different events.

As those of us living in modern day America are becoming aware, security and freedom as expressed via network technologies are not always similar or even congruent to the analog types we have experienced in the physical world. The considerations and constraints of living in a networked domain are having a profound effect upon the ways we enforce personal freedom and security within Society. Combined with the intellectual property rules and regulations, as well as the general "war on terrorism" happening globally, Society is experiencing an amplified rate of change, and predictable considerations for living in our Society that seemed like common sense just a decade earlier, are evaporating and transmuting what it means to be a Human, let alone an American citizen, within this new networked socio-economic system.

As a result, some basic understandings are required, in order that wisdom prevails, and the manner in which we express the intent that founded documents like the "Declaration of Independence" and the "Constitution" remain true to their intended meaning. Here we find great utility in looking back upon some precedent setting events and actions that we may derive present-day meaning from. While "We the People" form the basis of a "more perfect Union", the signatories that give us integrity belong to Individuals. In fact, it may be construed as an error of common sense omission that such fact is not explicitly called out in the formation of such a representative form of governance, for truly, only Individual people acting with the full force of Sovereignty that life bestows upon Humanity through Individual free will, could ever construe a nation-state such as America.

Upon this foundation, and no other, the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA now exists.

Directly connected to this foundation, the internet arrives seeking to make and enable direct connections between information processing entities, whether via peer-to-peer or more bureaucratically engaged methods. The administration of data is the singular focus of this new infrastructure, a focus that belonged previously to the governing methods dominated by geographic considerations almost unanimously in previous generations.

Thus, we arrive at an inherent conflict between the Individual, and the model of authority that exists prior to the administration of data as enabled by the internet. This in the year 2014 is a big deal, and is very leading edge fodder within the general populace. In fact, the method of direct Individual administration of data using the internet is already changing social norms that have existed for hundreds of years. And much more is still to come.

The primary key of participation under the model of administrative authority practiced within any Nation-state in the year 2014 is derived by the construction of what is known as a "legal identity". This legal identity is the root stock of Rights, separating the have's from the have not's and forming a default understanding of what it means to be an "American" versus a "Mexican" or a "Russian" or any other such structure. The manner in which this identity is formed is the manner in which Sovereignty itself is formed.

We are approaching an impending event within which the equality of participation will be directly challenged by the manner in which a person's legal identity comes into existence within the administrative framework of Society. Old structural identifiers will increasingly lose their authority and empowerment due to mass surveillance and the inability of current administrative methods to protect the origin of authority within a national model of Sovereignty such as America.

In its place, a new model of administrative authority will arrive to compete directly with the mis-administered nature of our current legal identifier. The only fundamental shift required will be the "Administrative Precedence" demonstrated by the origin of authority in the structure of this new participatory mechanism. With one simple shift, the error of omission due to common sense will be Righted in explicit Terms, and a recursive signatory directly representing Individuals within the Constitutional authority of the UNITED INDIVIDUALS OF AMERICA will be born.

Nations will continue to exist as they presently do. States will continue to exist as they presently do. Individuals will directly represent their Rights, responsibilities and opportunities, within Society, and personal Sovereignty will transparently guide the intentions of our Nation once more.

Administrative methods will change and employees will be forced to learn new methods of interacting with personally Sovereign constituents, citizen-owners all... but the shift will be a base-of-the-pyramid one that will be implemented from the edge, rather than distributed from and lobbied-for from within an obscure, opaque and mis-represented central repository of authority that no longer matters as it once did.

Once upon a time, the Town Hall was the infrastructure of American Rights... the platform of Sovereignty. The internet arrived, and all of that is now changed forever. What comes next is what matters most... and while the road may not be smooth ahead, the destination is observable to those with common sense. The first two Rights in our Bill of Rights guarantee it. Individuals represent the Sovereign integrity of America Universally.
