In 2021, these same people, omitted from the telling of history's tales, immune from the meaning of their participation in how society functions, are bringing their fear to life in new and insidious ways. As the title of this post suggests, under the guise of "health" integrity, and protection of various Sovereign territories and legal jurisdictions, people all over the world are going to have an idea/method positioned for their use against the backdrop of the threat of death.
The idea of a vaccination passport is that participation in certain parts of society, like air travel, school, sporting events, outdoor music concerts, and really any social activity with a gateway managing access, like Disney World, is going to force compliance to the use of identity-based vaccination passports for access to such services. Will gas stations, grocery stores, interstate highways accessed via toll booths require the documented compliance of personal vaccination passports? Surely time will tell, and as this effort heats up at the hands of bureaucrats and employees advancing methods they are told to advance, where in the process do "Human Rights" reside?
Personal liberty is a highly managed process in an identity-based world. A vaccination passport allows perfect data capture and use of the personal identity of Individual people seeking to access once freely accessible parts of civil Society. But as 2020 has shown, this access is easily destroyed when deemed necessary by Governments and employed bureaucrats lacking any real functional accountability to their constituents. Data slaves will use vaccination passports because they are forced to, and fear suggests it is necessary to protect them.
The vaccination passport represents the introduction of the CCP social credit system to America, transmuting people into sub-human data points lasting lifetimes. This fear-based governance methods work really well, at the expense of Individual liberty or any notion of a civil society derived "of, by, for people".
As you consider this issue, you should put some clear eyes on the companies, organizations, and Individuals leading this effort. These people deserve their own databased, identified mechanisms documenting their strong nazi-cult methods of supporting the administration of people as cattle, as fearful beings "trusting" their leaders with their compliance. It has begun in earnest.

I've read your posts, I've read about your efforts at LF, I'm familiar with Drummond's efforts, I understand the intent of choices made, and I understand where the leadership perspective in SSI resolves on this issue.
Here, that answer is simple. "Here" is a community attempting to correct a power imbalance, to restore integrity of participation to Individuals, to aid in the relationship building process between suppliers and consumers, and perhaps to change the definition of market relationships, and computing relationships even (Master/Slave/User/etc). Beyond politics, this community exists to empower technical solutions, to bring attention to poor/dangerous methods and give developers help in finding the path to the future where people - "people", Individual persons, have authority over their choices of participation.
Anything that renders "choice" obsolete, is an enemy vector.
So your understanding of this moment is imbued with your politics, as is mine. You are concerned about a virus called COVID-19, I am more concerned with a virus called "We People". You want socialization under safe Terms, I want to be left alone, to choose where, when, how and why I participate on my own Terms.
So you choose to support an idea that has the effect you desire, and which I view as a means to reduce the effect I desire. Your evaluation of danger differs from mine, and thus your methods differ. You believe that a vaxport/health pass is a positive contribution to social safety, and I view it as a false narrative destined to reduce "trust" in society. This renders a new choice for all of us, as your efforts corrupt the space by intent, where each of us can pursue the outcome this community is here to solve.
What do you see as the catastrophic effect that the vaxport aids in diminishing?
If I see that same catastrophic effect being defined as "meat eaters", and enable a solution to track meat eaters as a risk vector spreading viral contamination in my society, do you agree to support my choice? How about the flu? What is the line where COVID-19 becomes different, if you do not believe those are worthy uses for a vaxport type solution/implementation?
"We" is an actionable virus of the mind, and history has many tales to tell of the actions induced by forced conformity, or socialization of "safety" ideas that a community/culture uses to enforce methods of control upon itself. While methods can be well researched, and intent on "doing it right", what about the 1st principle of making that "choice" that sets up the false "choice" for all others? Where does your personal power, in skill and authority, resolve in the end?
People in China believe that the social credit system is doing good things for them, reducing corruption, helping people "trust" one another. They willingly choose friends with positive social scores, and avoid those lacking such scores. Society becomes inflicted by this false "choice", except to the people, Institutionally inclined by their politics, positioned with uber-authority over others, and there is very little dissention. Why? The system destroys it, and compels its destruction by the "choices" of the people.
Brilliant really. "We" becomes the weakest link in the human experience, and Individual persons are subjugated to false choices for very precise reasons. It appears to be a dominant method of socialization and human control. It looks like a formidable foe to any idea of "people" as persons, Individuals all, with inherent Rights resolving to their own authority, accountable and free.
Where is the line? Where do your business interests intervene? Where do your unifying globalist thoughts about human safety become relevant to local context? How do your systems help my participation from within my system to compete with other systems that are directly squared off against mine in an aggressive coercion of fear for the benefit of the imaginary reality of "We"?
I mentor and help young developers. 10's of thousands of them over the past 25 years. There are some very important commonalities among developers that go into the ways in which they see problems, and produce results.
I find most adult developers/CS grads to be cowards in the real world; the basement has provided shelter for many generations of developers,and many organizations have built methods with the help of basement dwelling developers that miss the human mark on integrity.
Since my beginning days, I would say 25% of the young developers/CS grads I have worked with have been "on the spectrum"; I inherently understand what this means in personal ways, and see very clear evidence of the problems it produces for real world implementations of technology created for social consumption.
Vaxports are an idea that emanates from foundation of fear, and while not targeting old people, or slightly overweight white guys with blonde hair and blue eyes, like perhaps they should, they are targeting a false choice under the guise of safety. Not meat eaters, not wet market suppliers or consumers, not people who mix it up with exotic animal-human convergences or testings... nope, vaxports target basic safe participation in society by all people.
Already, their existence is promulgating an idea that their use can accomplish the mission-focused political quest to eliminate anti-vaxxers from society. Already, the left-cult of American politics is using them to shame people into compliance. Already, good people, with good intentions have been corrupted by a "choice" to support the lowest form of human thought, the lowest form of human participation in civil systems, market systems, educational systems, and the need to comply will carry far more weight than the evaluation of methods used.
The use of the word "trust" in marketing is something that carries its own meaning. If your methods are trust-worthy, you dont need to tell me to "trust" you. In fact, doing so creates the opposite effect. Co-opting words like self-Sovereignty to pursue market goals, reputation goals, ID adoption goals, and then pushing a choice inducing non-choice for others in pursuit of "SSI" goals is going to bite you in the ass.
Non-participation has always carried weight, always had value when needed. "No" was a choice Brian, Drummond. Your choice, now induces my lack of "choice", and thus becomes conflict-oriented. Restoring the integrity of participation to people, Individual persons, without participating in fear-based governance methods, is my only interest really. Destroying efforts that counter that becomes a focus.

[Easter Update: If you are discussing this topic with people, help them derive some context. Consider some foundational logic that applies beyond the immediate context of a pandemic, as data won't expire, and thus these concepts live forever in an ID context, as they must.
Clearly, people need management to be "trusted", if this vaccination passport concept holds water. So lets go deeper to more foundational concepts of social safety; lets launch the "Vagina Passport" (VagPort) and its requisite companion, the "Penis Passport" (PeniPort).
"We" can no longer allow people to engage in untrusted, undocumented interactions, and clearly, based on global sex trafficking alone, let alone run-of-the-mill sexual abuse pervading communities, high schools, Universities and offices of Congress weekly, consent must be registered before any human sexual contact can be allowed. Our viral afflictions must be contained.
For the safety of every human on planet Earth, every daughter, every son, get your VagPort and PeniPort today! Don't delay, exposing your clear and obvious intent to rape others of their safety. Comply now, and tell the world you too can be "trusted" as a safety-first member of Society.
