I get asked if the software I build at great expense of time and effort, and financial resources, is FREE? My primary customer in this sense is public schools. I am primarily asked this question by teachers. Administrators ask different questions. My answer takes a few forms, all quick hits... just to get their attention. My favorite is, "Are you a Linux user? I love Linux users... we run linux, use linux, teach linux...." :) You might imagine the range of responses I get. Rarely is the answer yes.
Monetization of Freedom, self-powered control is the real point, isn't it?
As a citizen participant in any socio-economic exchange type, Rights are relative to citizenship. And, simultaneously, no they are not. They are relative to skin color, gender, time, place, circumstance, randomness, bias, labor type, tax ID, zipcode, etc.. they are relative to skills at self-control, self-empowerment, self-Sovereignty of participatory authority.
I do not get my life from any entity outside of self. My parents told me so :) That is a structural reality.
"No" is the first self-Sovereign act, maybe, right? It looked like an assumed and absolute right with my kid. No one could have said "No, No" and gotten a positive response.
Human beings are can be so lazy and compliant. Exceptional people build everything.
Everything sorts itself out, but in the meantime there are kids aged 9 making $150/hr writing Java. They will never be customers. They own markets, own transactions, own relationship structures.
Self-Sovereign owners exist. There is leverage in isolation. Participation is structural. Markets of 1 build Societies with integrity. Freedom will never exist on a plantation, physical or data-based in nature, no matter how nice the master of the plantation is. Individuals must "Own Root" control, self-powered Freedom for it to exist.
I watched a show on TV last night that featured drama concerning "Sovereigns" as conveyed to Law Enforcement special operations teams. These were people that knew the Constitution BUT had criminal behaviors and intent hidden from view of the Police Officer/Team. This dramatic rendering was at once informative about writers angle of interest, and how the general conversations involving "Sovereign" anything will ring in ignorant ears. Sovereign is power, control, inherited Freedom.
People should not shy away from understanding it better. A King is Sovereign. What benefits should a King enjoy? Is self-provisioning source authority one of those things? How should a King do that? What method of standing up self-Sovereignty would a King use? Declaring Independence, a people may form a more perfect Union. Our hierarchies are failing us. Heterarchical participation seems disorienting to many. However, this greatly reduces in younger people. There is great leverage in youth.
We the people of this planet are not all having the same experience. I & I don't want to either. Equality begins as a possibility when people have equal access to the structural knowledge of self-Sovereign human authority. Pre-systemic approval, people must own themselves.
In a socio-economic Universe, there is one state of existence more important and powerful than provisioned Freedom.. self-Sovereign personal ownership. You must own yourself. Relationships and equality as concept in a civil Society begins at self-Sovereign human authority.
